MORRIS, MN – The Bethany Lutheran women's tennis team traveled to Morris to take on the Cougars in UMAC play on Tuesday afternoon. The Vikings weren't quite able to put together enough wins, losing to the Cougars 6-3.
Audrey Petersen and Jessalyn Aune-Smith captured the only doubles win for the Vikings. The pair is now 3-1 in UMAC play together and 4-3 overall after defeating their opponent today 8-0. Taylor Bolduan and Shoshana Bruner lost 8-4 at #1 and Leah Schaefer and Emma Carmichael lost 8-0 at #2.
Shoshana Bruner won a three-set match at #2 singles today, defeating her opponent 6-4, 1-6, 10-8. Bruner is now 3-2 in UMAC play. Jessalyn Aune-Smith completed the sweep by winning her #5 singles match 7-6 (9-7), 7-5.
Up next: The Vikings have a quick turnaround and will take on undefeated University of Northwestern tomorrow beginning at 6:00 PM.
