Duran Scores a Pair as Vikings Silence Storm

­­­­­­­MANKATO, Minn.—Senior Samuel Duran (Marshall, Minn.) scored a career-high two goals in Bethany Lutheran's (2-2 overall) 5-0 win over Crown (0-4) Tuesday night.

KEYC highlights

Classmate Jonny Sehloff (Mankato, Minn.) gave the Vikings the early lead as he connected on a pass from freshman Joao Bastos (Piracicaba, Brazil) less than five minutes into the contest.

Duran would score the next two for BLC at 17:25 and 57:11. Bastos would tally one of his own at 68:45 and freshman Max Busch (Odenthal, Germany) was successful on his penalty kick for the eventual game-winner.

Bastos had a career-high three points on the night.

Duran moves into seventh on the career leader list in goals and is tied for 10th in points. Sehloff is tied for ninth in career goals.

Freshman Mason Steffen (Kiel, Wis.) made his first career start in the net and earned the shutout.
