ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn.—The Bethany Lutheran women's soccer team (5-4 overall, 1-0 UMAC) opened the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) portion of its schedule in undefeated fashion in the 2-0 shutout against Crown (3-5, 0-1) Saturday.
The game was scoreless until junior Maddie Perry (Anoka, Minn.) scored her first goal of the day at 36:59.
This remained the score through halftime until Perry netted her team-leading ninth goal of the year at 53:15.
The Vikings owned the team advantages in shots (29-10) and corner kicks (2-1).
