Women's Basketball Continues Three-Game Road Trip Wednesday

MANKATO, Minn.-- The Bethany Lutheran women's basketball team (13-2 overall, 6-1 UMAC) continues a three-game road trip and will face Crown (4-10, 1-6) Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. The Vikings are tied for first and the Storm are tied for eighth in the conference standings. BLC enters the week on an eight-game winning streak and Crown has dropped its last three.

The Series
BLC owns the all-time series lead at 29-1, and have won the last 29-straight.

Bethany Lutheran
Junior Hanna Geistfeld (Truman, Minn.) leads the team with 21.0 PPG. Classmates Abby Olson (Montevideo, Minn.) and Kenlie Pytleski (East Chain, Minn.) follow with 20.1 and 10.7 PPG, respectively.

Geistfeld nearly averages a double double with a team-high 9.3 rebounds/game and Olson has a team-best 51 assists and 29 steals.

Career Record Watch
Olson ranks second in three-point field goals (141), fifth in points (1,1122) and assists (223), sixth in steals (136) and field goals (356), and seventh in free throws (250). Geistfeld is fourth in field goals (412), sixth in points (1,060), and ninth in rebounds (485). Pytleski is sixth in blocks (56). Senior Emily Skrien (Nicollet, Minn.) is ninth in three-point field goals (74).

Bethany Lutheran ranks in the top 100 of 14 national stat categories, the NCAA released Monday.

The Vikings are: 13th in free throws (257), 18th in scoring offense (77.1 PPG), 23rd in won-lost percentage (86.7), 26th in assists/game (16.7), 31st in rebound margin (9.2) and rebounds/game (45.53), 37th in assists (251), 39th in points (1,156), 41st in free throw percentage (73.4), 49th in assist turnover ratio (0.99), 60th in scoring margin (12.6), 67th in rebounds (683), 71st in three-point field goals/game (7.3), and 84th in three-point field goals (109).

Individually, Geistfeld is 11th in field goal percentage (58.7), 15th in points/game (21.0), 16th in points (315), 17th in field goals (121), 40th in free throws (70), and 99th in rebounds (140) and rebounds/game (9.3).

Olson is 21st in points/game (20.1), 25th in free throws (75), 29th in points (302), 60th in three-point field goals/game (2.60), 66th in three-point field goals (39), and 77th in three-point field goal percentage (38.6).

Against the Conference
BLC leads the league in offense (77.4 PPG), field goal percentage (.424), and assist turnover ratio (1.01).

Geistfeld is the second-leading scorer (19.4 PPG) and Olson is fifth (17.0). Geistfeld is also first in field goal percentage (.607), and free throw percentage (.875), and fourth in rebounds (8.1/game).

Crown
Two players average in double digits as Stevey De La Ossa has 13.0 PPG and Dominique Urbina has 10.5. Patricia Gibson leads the team on the glass with 8.1 rebounds/game.
