Women's Basketball Hosts Martin Luther

MANKATO, Minn.-- The Bethany Lutheran women's basketball team (15-2 overall, 8-1 UMAC) hosts Martin Luther (1-16, 1-8) Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. The Vikings are in first and the Knights are tied for eighth in the conference standings. BLC enters the week on a school-record ten-game winning streak.

The Series
BlC owns the slight series lead at 16-15, and have won the last nine-straight meetings. The teams have met at least twice each season since 2010-11.

Bethany Lutheran
Junior Hanna Geistfeld (Truman, Minn.) leads the team with 21.2 PPG. Classmates Abby Olson (Montevideo, Minn.) and Kenlie Pytleski (East Chain, Minn.) follow with 19.6 and 10.3 PPG, respectively.

Geistfeld nearly averages a double double with a team-high 9.6 rebounds/game and Olson has a team-best 65 assists and 33 steals.

Olson ranks second in three-point field goals (148), third in assists (234), fourth in points (1,153), sixth in steals (140) and field goals (372), and seventh in free throws (256). Geistfeld is fourth in field goals (429), sixth in points (1,105), and ninth in rebounds (508). Pytleski is sixth in blocks (58). Senior Emily Skrien (Nicollet, Minn.) is ninth in three-point field goals (54).

Individually, Geistfeld is 10th in field goal percentage (60.0), 12th in field goals made (138) and points/game (21.2), 13th in points (360), 20th in double doubles (10), 34th in free throws (81), 83rd in rebounds (163), 86th in rebounds/game (9.6),

Olson is 26th in points/game (19.6), 34th in free throws (81) and three-point field goals/game (2.71), 36th in points (333), 40th in three-point field goals (46), and 63rd in three-point field goal percentage (39.0).

BLC leads the league in offense (76.1 PPG), rebounding margin (8.6), and assist turnover ratio (0.98).

Geistfeld is the leading scorer (21.2 PPG) and leading rebounder (9.6/game). Olson is second leading scorer (19.6 PPG). Geistfeld is also first in field goal percentage (.600).
