Men's Basketball Hosts St. Scholastica

MANKATO, Minn.-- The Bethany Lutheran men's basketball team (14-5 overall, 9-1 UMAC) hosts St. Scholastica (10-9, 7-3) Saturday at 3 p.m. The Vikings are tied for first and the Saints are fourth in the conference standings. BLC enters the weekend on a nine-game winning streak and CSS has won its last three-straight.

The Series
BLC owns the all-time series lead at 20-16. The Vikings claimed the first meeting of the season, 91-75, on Jan. 18 in Duluth.

Bethany Lutheran
The Vikings have four players in double digits as sophomore Cire Mayfield (St. Louis Park, Minn.) leads the team with 17.7 PPG. Senior Trenton Krueger (Eagan, Minn.) follows at 16.1 and juniors Jared Milinkovich (New Prague, Minn.) and Brian Smith (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) round out the leading scorers with 13.2 and 10.8 PPG, respectively.

Krueger leads the team on the glass with his 9.6 rebounds/game. Mayfield has a team-high 127 assists and Smith leads the way with 35 steals.

Career Record Watch
Krueger is first in blocks (71), third in rebounds (550), fifth in field goals (414), and ninth in points (1,034). Jared Milinkovich is third in blocks (53) and Mayfield is fifth in assists (265).

Single Season Record Watch
Mayfield is fourth in assists (127). Freshman Hunter Nielsen (New Prague, Minn.) is tied for seventh in blocked shots (22).

Krueger is tied for fifth in rebounds (182) and tied for tenth in blocks (17).

Against the Conference
BLC leads the league in scoring offense (90.0 PPG), field goal percentage (.482), and assist turnover ratio (1.53).

Mayfield is third in scoring (17.6 PPG) and Krueger is fifth (17.1 PPG). Mayfield is first in assists (71) and second in assist turnover ratio (2.6).

Krueger is the third-leading rebounder (10.0/game), first in field goal percentage (.723), and Nielsen is second in blocks (14).

St. Scholastica
Collin Anderson leads the team with 16.4 PPG. Four teammates join him in double figures as Nick Carlson has 14.3 PPG, Jarod Wilken has 12.8, Jack Silgen is at 11.1 and Quinn Fischer has 10.1.

Wilken is the leading rebounder with 8.1 rebounds/game.
