Box Score ASHLAND, Wis. – Junior Hanna Geistfeld (Truman, Minn.) set the school record with 37 points and 16 field goals in Bethany Lutheran's (19-3 overall, 12-2 UMAC) 81-64 win over Northland (4-18, 2-12) Saturday.
She broke the mark of 36 points and 14 field goals, which was previously set by then-sophomore Abby Olson (Montevideo, Minn.) against Martin Luther on Dec. 12, 2018.
Geistfeld had a double double with 13 rebounds. Olson also had a double double with 18 points and a career-high 13 rebounds. Junior Kenlie Pytleski (East Chain, Minn.) rounded out the players with double figure rebounds with 10.
The LumberJills took the early 8-2 lead in the first three and a half minutes of play. The lead would change hands seven times through the quarter as Northland led 17-16 at the end of the first.
The Vikings used a 33-point second frame reclaim the lead and pushed the margin into the 20's for the duration of the third quarter.
The LumberJills compiled a rally in the fourth as they made it a 10-point game on a trey with 4:44 to play (72-62). BLC answered with a 7-0 run over the next two minutes to push the lead to 17 once more.
Bethany owned the team advantages in field goal percentage, three-point field goal percentage, rebounds (62-25), assists (28-9), and blocks (4-3).
BLC returns to action when it opens a two-game homestand to end the regular season when it hosts Crown Wednesday at 7:45 p.m.
