Pytleski Has Career Night in Win over Storm

MANKATO, Minn – Junior Kenlie Pytleski (East Chain, Minn.) had a career-high 20 points in Bethany Lutheran's (20-3 overall, 13-2 UMAC) 82-63 win over Crown (4-20, 1-14) Wednesday. She was one of three Vikings in double figures as classmate Abby Olson (Montevideo, Minn.) led all scorers with 24 points and classmate Hanna Geistfeld (Truman, Minn.) had a double double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

BLC led by 10 at the end of the first quarter and at halftime. The Storm cut it to six early in the third quarter but the Vikings used a 12-6 run on three-straight triples from Pytleski answered followed by one from sophomore Laura Ellinghuysen (Winona, Minn.) to regain the double digit margin for the duration of the contest.

Bethany owned the team advantages in field goal percentage and three-point field goal percentage while holding Crown to 25% from beyond the arc. The Vikings had 20 assists, 11 steals, and one block.

BLC hosts UW-Superior Saturday at 4:45 p.m. in the regular season finale. This game will determine the UMAC regular season champion, as both teams are 13-2 in league play.
