Women's Basketball Takes to the Road Wednesday

MANKATO, Minn.-- The Bethany Lutheran women's basketball team (17-2 overall, 10-1 UMAC) takes to the road for its next three games, and will face North Central (9-10, 5-5) Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. The Vikings are in first and the Rams are in tied for foruth in the conference standings. BLC enters the week on a school-record 12-game winning streak and NCU has dropped its last two-straight.

The Series
BLC owns the all-time series lead at 18-0.

Bethany Lutheran
Junior Hanna Geistfeld (Truman, Minn.) leads the team with 21.3 PPG and 9.3 rebounds/game. Classmate Abby Olson (Montevideo, Minn.) follows with 19.8 PPG, and has 67 assists and 37 steals.

Career Record Watch
Olson ranks second in three-point field goals (150), third in assists (240), fourth in points (1,196), tied for fifth in steals (144) and free throws (267), and fifth in field goals (387). Geistfeld is fourth in field goals (444) and points (1,150), and ninth in rebounds (527). Pytleski is sixth in blocks (58). Senior Emily Skrien (Nicollet, Minn.) is ninth in three-point field goals (76).

Individually, Geistfeld is eighth in field goal percentage (61.8), 10th in points/game (21.3), 11th in field goals (154), 14th in points (405), 20th in free throws (94), 86th in rebounds (182), and 87th in rebounds/game (9.6).

Olson is 27th in points (376), free throws (92) and points/game (19.8), 60th in three-point field goals (48), 69th in three-point field goals/game (2.53), 72nd in three-point field goal percentage (37.8), and 99th in field goals (118).

Against the Conference
BLC leads the league in offense (78.4 PPG) and field goal percentage (.438).

North Central
Naomi Hagstrom leads her teamw ith 14.5 PPG, Emily DiGiorgio follows at 13.9 and Allison Bulthuis has 10.6. DiGiorgi leads the team on the glass with 8.8 rebounds/game.
