MANKATO, Minn. — The Bethany Lutheran women's basketball team fell 107-65 in exhibition against NCAA Division II opponent, Minnesota State University Mankato on Tuesday.
Three players finished in double digits as freshman Haley Meyer (Centerville, SD) had 19 points, classmate Alexi Cloyd (Garden City, Minn.) had 16, and senior Hanna Geistfeld (Truman, Minn.) had 12.
Cloyd had 11 points in the first half alone, as she was 3-3 from three-point range and 2-2 from the free throw line.
Meyer and junior Taryn Christensen (South Sioux City, Neb.) co-led the team on the glass with six rebounds each.
The Mavericks opened the first six minutes of the contest on a 26-2 run and never looked back.
BLC owned the team advantage in free throw percentage (66.7 vs. 57.1).
