CHICAGO — The Bethany Lutheran women's basketball team (4-2 overall) fell 72-64 to host-North Park (4-1) Saturday.
BLC led 19-10 after the first quarter and 34-30 at halftime. The third quarter was tied five times, and the score was knotted twice in the fourth, which included 49 all with 7:57 remaining.
North Park compiled a 6-0 run over the next minute and a half to claim the lead for good.
Senior Hanna Geistfeld (Truman, Minn.) finished with a double double with 30 points and 11 rebounds.
Sophomore Sara Kottke (Buffalo Lake, Minn.) joined her in double figures with 11 points.
Once again, BLC owned the advantage on the glass at 47-35, which included 14 offensive boards.
Bethany is off from competition until Wednesday, Dec. 8 when it continues the 11-game road trip at UW-Eau Claire at 7 p.m.
