SUPERIOR, Wis. – UW-Superior (4-0 overall, 3-0 UMAC) defeated Bethany Lutheran (0-1, 0-1) 6-5 in overtime Saturday. This was the most goals scored by BLC in the all-time series between the programs.

The YellowJackets got on the scoreboard early in the game with its first goal at 5:19. Senior Vincent Ayodi (Nairobi, Kenya) evened the score with his goal just two minutes later.

UWS regained the lead at 25:42, but freshman Thijs Middeldorp (Landgraaf, The Netherlands) knotted the game with his first collegiate score at 34:48.

The score remained 2-2 through halftime until sophomore Max Busch (Odenthal, Germany) connected on a pass from freshman Cameron Brookfield (Cheshire, England) at 55:31.

The 'Jackets scored two consecutive goals which made the score 4-3. Brookfield netted his first collegiate goal for the equalizer at 65:38 before UWS took the lead 11 minutes later. Busch netted his second score of the game on a pass from Middeldorp at 80:30. Neither team scored in the remaining regulation to send it into overtime.

The 'Jackets scored the game-winner just over a minute into the extra session (91:16).
