ASHLAND, Wis. -- The Bethany Lutheran softball team (18-14 overall, 10-3 UMAC) split with Northland () Saturday. The LumberJills claimed the first game 4-3 in eight innings, and the Vikings won the nightcap, 10-1.

Northland won the first game on a walkoff bases loaded walk.

In the second game, Northland took the early 1-0 lead after its first at-bats. This remained the score until BLC compiled eight runs in the sixth. Some highlights included two doubles from junior Zoe Kinakin (Victoria, British Columbia) and a two-run double from freshman Madiysn Loken (Janesville, Minn.).

Sophomore Katelyn Halbach's (Osage, Iowa) two-run single drove in the final runs of the game in the seventh.

Bethany returns to the field Monday when it hosts Martin Luther at 3:30 p.m.
