MANKATO, Minn. – All four of Bethany Lutheran's goals were scored by freshmen in the 4-0 win over Faith Baptist Tuesday.
The game was scoreless through halftime.
Freshman Madison Sax (Vero Beach, Fla.) netted her first collegiate goal at 53:28 as she capitalized on a rebound that hit the post.
Four minutes later, classmate Olaitz Azkue Muguruza (Orduna, Spain) scored her first goal of the half. Freshman Ashley Casper (Petaluma, Calif.) connected on a rebound at 66:48 and Azkue Muguruza scored on Casper's corner kick at 68:55 for the final goal of the contest.
All three keepers combined for the shutout.
