MANKATO, Minn. -- The Bethany Lutheran women's soccer team improved on its best start in program history with its 1-0 victory over Waldorf Wednesday. BLC is now 3-0 on the young season.
Tonight's win also marked the first win over the Warriors in the series since 2005.
The game was scoreless through the first half. Senior Maddie Perry (Anoka, Minn.) put her shot into the top right corner of the net for the eventual game-winner at 63:22
.
Senior Zoe Kinakin (Victoria, British Columbia) earned her third consecutive shutout in goal. She is now tied for ninth on the single season leader list in this category, and moves into tied for fourth on the career leader list.
The shots were even at 18 all, though the Warriors held the advantage in corner kicks at 6-4.
The Vikings return to action Monday when they host Viterbo at 7 p.m.
