Box Score MORRIS, Minn. - The Bethany women's soccer team Saturday took a 3-1 win over Minnesota-Morris. With the win the Vikings move to 10-5-1 overall and 9-3 in the UMAC while the Cougars fall to 3-11-3 overall and 3-6-3 in conference play.

Bethany got the scoring started early in this one, as Ashley Casper netted her third goal of the season in the 7th minute with an assist going to Olaitz Azkue. The Viking dominated the rest of the half but were unable to muster any more goals, as they gained seven corners in the first 45 minutes and outshot the home team 14-2.

Bethany would eventually be rewarded for their persistent efforts early in the second half, as Casper was able to find Elena Luján Rubio in the 55th minute for a 2-0 lead. Morris would finally catch their break though as they gained a corner in the 60th minute and were able to convert it to a goal to cut the deficit in half. Bethany though, would all but seal the victory in the 81st minute though when Googie Mueller scored her second goal of the season with assists going to Juana Quevedo and Emma Lau to give the Vikings the 3-1 margin they would hold onto for the victory.

Brooke Wolanin got the win in net, making four saves while allowing the one goal.

The Vikings are back in action on Wednesday when they host Northwestern for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
