MANKATO, Minn.-- For the second-straight week and third time in program history, Bethany Lutheran swept the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) players of the week for softball, the conference office announced today. Senior Eden Ambrose (Hugo, Minn.) was named the player of the week and classmate Kayla Senne (Northwood, Iowa) was named the pitcher of the week.
Ambrose's accomplishments:
- Led Bethany Lutheran to 2-2 week against four WIAC teams
- Went 5-for-9 (.556) with four runs and two RBI
- Recorded a double, two walks and four stolen bases
Senne's accomplishments:
-Â Threw program's fifth no-hitter in win over Wisconsin-Stout
- Struck out 12 batters in complete game win vs. Wisconsin-River Falls
- Allowed just three earned runs in 18 IP with 24 strikeouts
This was the first career honor for Ambrose and second for Senne.
