MANKATO, Minn.— KatieJo Svenson has resigned as the Coordinator of Sports Information at Bethany Lutheran College, as announced today. She has chosen to pursue another professional opportunity within college athletics.
 
Svenson has spent the past three academic years covering the 17 varsity Viking teams. She has covered three All-Americans, three CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, and a multitude of conference champions and other award winners during her time at Bethany.
 
Svenson is an active member of CoSIDA. She was named to the Board of Directors for a four-year term (2017-21).

Don Westphal, Bethany Athletic Director said, "KatieJo has been a tremendous asset to Bethany during her three years here. She is the consummate professional, cares about each team and athlete alike, and does everything she can to promote Viking athletics. Please join me in congratulating KatieJo on this new opportunity with her alma mater, while at the same time extending to her heartfelt thanks for all that she did for Bethany. The standard she leaves has been set exceptionally high."

Her final day will be Friday, June 3.
 
A nationwide search for her replacement will occur this summer.
