MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Bethany Lutheran men's soccer team traveled to North Central and got out to a quick start en route to a 6-0 win. With the victory the Vikings move to 8-2-2 overall and 7-0-1 in the UMAC while the Rams fall to 4-6-1 overall and 1-6-1 in the conference.
The Vikings got out to a racing quick start in this one, as
Daniel Almeida notched a goal in the third minute thanks to an assist from
Ben Klausen. Klausen would then assist another goal just over a minute later as
Lorenzo Falleti tallied his ninth of the year.
After being held scoreless the rest of the first half,
Gijs van Eldik got the scoring started quickly in the second as he was able to get a header past the Rams keeper for the 3-0 lead just a minute into the half.
Almeida would then get his second goal of the game in the 53
rd minute before
Ezekiel Human would find a goal in the 58
th.
Anastasis Daskalakis would then give the Vikings their final goal as he scored in the 86
th minute to bring the game its 6-0 finish.
Nick Lundberg got the win in net for Bethany making three saves.
The Vikings are back in action on Monday when they host St. Olaf for a 7 p.m. matchup.
