ST PAUL, Minn. - The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced its Player of the Week winners Tuesday morning and Dominik Bangu of Bethany Lutheran men's basketball received the honor. It is the first POTW accolade for Bangu.

The junior had a big week for the Vikings, averaging 22 points and 10.5 rebounds in the team's two contests this week. He first scored 17 points and added 14 rebounds against Central on Tuesday, including seven points in the final two minutes to propel the Vikings to a 77-73 win over the Dutch. Bangu then tallied a career high 27 points against Martin Luther on Saturday highlighted by a 7-of-8 performance from beyond the arc while adding seven rebounds.
