MANKATO, Minn. - The Bethany Lutheran women's soccer team hosted North Central on Saturday afternoon and claimed a big 10-0 win behind four second half goals from
Bella Garza.
Bethany would get the scoring started early in this one as
Juliana Correa Paez got the first goal of her collegiate career with an assist from
Ashley Casper.
Olaitz Azkue Muguruza would then get a 15th minute goal off a corner kick from
Elena Luján Rubio before
Riley Ping would evade the keeper to score an unassisted goal in the 27th minute.
Lujan Rubio would get an unassisted goal in the 32nd minute from way outside the box before Ping scored the final goal of the half with an assist from Correa Paez.
The second half was then the Garza show as the senior would tally four of the team's five goals in the half. She would score five goals from the 49th minute to the 58th minute, with an
Ashley Casper goal in the 51st giving the Vikings their 10-0 win.
Ema Cortes Carvalho got the win in net, making three saves in the shutout.
Bethany will next be in action on Wednesday when they travel to Martin Luther for a 3:30 p.m. contest.
