BVU would go cold over the next two minutes with three points from

Another pair of free throws split by the Vikings would give Buena Vista the ball with one last shot to tie the game. Bethany would play good defense and force a contested shot with time winding down, but a foul on the Vikings and all three free throws finding the bottom of the net from the Beavers would send the game to overtime.
Over a minute went by in the overtime before BVU opened the scoring with a layup inside. Kor would then split a pair of free throws before knocking down a pair on the next possession to put the Vikings up 79-78 with three minutes to go. The Vikings would get fouled their next time down the floor but miss both chances from the charity stripe and still trailed by three with 45 seconds to play. They would play good defense and force a shot clock violation for a chance to tie the game on the games final possession, but the three pointer was missed and offensive rebound putback went in with no time on the clock for the 83-82 final.
