Box Score MORRIS, Minn. - The Bethany Lutheran women's tennis team Tuesday afternoon took on Minnesota Morris in UMAC tennis action and dropped the match by a score of 7-2. With the loss the Vikings fall to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the conference while the Cougars move to 3-9 overall and 1-1 in the UMAC.
The Vikings fell behind early in the match on the evening, dropping all three doubles matches. All three doubles tandems for Bethany fell by scores of 8-2, leaving some work to be done in the upcoming singles contests.
The duo of Sailor Mohlenbrock and Emily Yehle who were both coming off a loss at No. 1 doubles rebounded in a big way, each winning their respective match at No. 1 and No. 2 to keep the Vikings in it. Mohlenbrock won her match at No. 1 by scores of 6-4, 6-2, while Yehle took a win in her match by a tally of 6-4, 7-6. Morris though would go on to claim the remaining four matches to secure the win by a margin of 7-2.
