OWATONNA, Minn. - The Bethany Lutheran women's tennis team Tuesday night took on Martin Luther College in UMAC tennis action and fell to the Knights by a margin of 9-0. With the loss the Vikings fall to 2-4 on the year and 1-2 in the conference, while the Knights move to 5-6 overall and 3-0 in the UMAC.
After dropping early matches at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles by scores of 8-0 and 8-1, Sailor Mohlenbrock and Emily Yehle would battle in No. 1 doubles where they would fall 8-7 following a pro-set loss.
The Knights would carry over the momentum from doubles play into singles, where they would defeat the Vikings in all six matches, with both Mohlenbrock and Yehle playing the closest matchups with scores of 6-4 and 6-2.
