WASECA, Minn. - The Bethany Lutheran cross country teams opened up their season at the Kent Finanger Invite at Waseca on Friday night and claimed a sixth place finish.
Brooklyn Hart got her collegiate career off to a good start, finishing in a time of 22:29.7 to finish in 27th. Kayla Tobin was the next finisher for the Vikings as she claimed a 41st place finish with a time of 23:49.4, while Angela Zaccaria finished in 24:59.3 to take 53rd. Rounding out the times for Bethany were Emmeline Metz and Taryn Zellmann who finished 59th and 60th, respectively, with times of 25:54.5 and 26:17.0.Â
A contingent of Bethany men also competed in the event, with Josiah Hoppe being the first finisher with a time of 18:14.3. James Younge wasn't far behind him as he finished 51st with a time of 18:43.0, while Benjamin Halvorson finished in 68th with a time of 20:26.5. Rounding out the men's times was Joshua Hecksel who finish in 25:01.4
