RIVER FALLS, Wis. - Bethany women's soccer concluded its non-conference schedule Tuesday with an 8-0 loss at UW-River Falls, dropping to 8-7-2 overall.
The Falcons wasted little time getting on the scoreboard with their first goal at the 1:21 mark. The home squad added first half goals in the 16th, 27th, and 38th minutes for a 4-0 lead after 45 minutes with a 19-6 advantage in shots.
River Falls added four more score in the second and ended with a 32-7 advantage in overall shots and 20-3 on goal. Sara Lara Tabuena made a season-high 12 saves in a complete game effort.
Bethany wraps up the regular season Friday at UW-Superior with playoff seeding on the line. The Vikings currently lead the UMAC with 25 points but have just one conference game remaining. UW-Superior (24 points) and Northwestern (23 points) both have two league games left.
