MANKATO, Minn. - The Vikings fell to the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse on Thursday night, spoiling their home opener. The Vikings started off well in the first minutes of the game, but then got cold in the second quarter, making one field goal. Bethany was down double digits at halftime. Despite a few spurts of life for the Vikings in the second half, the Eagles maintained control after halftime and pulled away in the third quarter to secure the win.
While the final score didn't go the Vikings' way, Bethany showed effort on the glass and continued to battle defensively, which is something to build on as the season continues. The Vikings host Augsburg this Saturday, November 15th at 1 pm.
