MANKATO, Minn. - Bethany women's soccer suffered a 3-0 loss to UW-Superior on Wednesday in the UMAC semifinals, ending its season with an overall record of 9-8-2.
UW-Superior controlled possession and the pace of play for the majority of the match. The Yellowjackets scored what proved to be the game-winner in the 15th minute and then benefited from a Bethany own goal in the 20th minute. The visitors led 2-0 at half with a 5-3 advantage in shots.
The final nail in the coffin came in the 81st minute. Superior ended with a 15-9 advantage in shots and 9-4 on goal. Arayah Baker finished with seven saves.
