Inside the Box Scores

Bethany 19 - 0 North Central

The Vikings had a strong start to game one as they posted a six run top of the first inning for the early lead. Addie Ahern would take a bases loaded walk to open the scoring with one out in the inning before Jolyne LeClair doubled to right to bring in two more and make it 3-0. Carly Nelson then picked up an RBI groundout before RBI singles from Anna Lee and Emily Nelson made it 6-0.

A quick bottom half from Emily Meyer in the circle followed by a scoreless second from both teams brought Bethany back to the plate in the third. The Vikings would add their first two runs of the inning thanks to an error before Alexis Dahlberg would pick up an RBI single to make the score 9-0.

The Vikings would add five more runs in the top of the fourth as two would score on an error before RBI at-bats from Emily Nelson, Emily Doyle, and Meyer made it 14-0.

Three more errors in the top of the fifth from NCU would allow five more runs to score as Bethany would push the score to 19-0 before tossing a scoreless bottom half to claim the win.

Meyer and Becca Kuck tossed a combined no-hitter for the Vikings, striking out eight hitters and walking just one hitter.

Doyle led Bethany at the plate with three hits in the contests while Dahlberg, Carly Nelson, Lee, and Emily Nelson each added two.
