MORRIS, Minn. - The Bethany Lutheran women's track and field team took seventh place in an extremely competitive UMAC Outdoor Championship that saw them finish with 76 points, with Crown winning the event with 142. UW-Superior was right behind Crown with 135 while Martin Luther had 127.
The meet was highlighted for the Vikings by a school record in the 4x400m relay by the team of Taryn Zellmann, Naomi Anderson, Riley Ping, and Tabitha Larson.

Here's what head coach Jakin Anderson had to say about the event.
Anderson: "Great finish to the meet and the conference season for this group. We may not have placed high as a team, but we exceeded our point totals for indoor on both sides, had a few people exceed goals in their events, and some really great performances. Taryn Zellmann got 3rd in the 100m final, Naomi Anderson made the 100m hurdle final and got seventh, and a new school record was set in the 4x400 along with a podium in that event by Zellman, Anderson, Riley Ping, and Tabitha Larson. That was our goal for them all season long, and it was a cherry on top to a great day. Stephanie Witbrod got MVP again, which is incredible for her and completes her sweep of that again this year. Overall, it's been great to work with this group and see them grow over the year. I'm really proud of how everyone has handled things and been able to make adjustments as they come. Excited for the last few meets here to round out the season."
