Sanborn, Doyle, Meyer Named NFCA All-Region

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released its 2026 Division III All-Region awards and three Bethany student-athletes received recognition. Olivia Sanborn and Emily Doyle were selected First Team All-Region IX, while Emily Meyer made Third Team.

In her rookie campaign, Sanborn led the UMAC with 44 stolen bases - 21 more than the next player - and tied the program's single season stolen base record with Sydney Jacobs (2024). Sanborn was second in the league with a .467 batting average, 57 hits, 49 runs, and four triples, and third with a .537 on base percentage. Her .537 on base percentage ranks second in program history for a single season while her .467 batting average ranks third.

Doyle earns All-Region honors for the third time in her career. Doyle led the conference in slugging percentage (.792), on base percentage (.595), OPS (1.387), doubles (19), walks (46), and sacrifice flies (4). Doyle is undoubtedly the program's greatest hitter, holding nine career records, including games played/started (177), slugging percentage (.657), on base percentage (.480), hits (206), doubles (69), home runs (18), RBI (184), and walks (90). She also ranks second in career batting average (.397) and runs (115).

Meyer earns All-Region honors for the second season. Meyer was the ace of the staff with a 2.43 ERA in 195.2 innings. Meyer went 23-8 this season with 38 appearances, 29 starts, 21 complete games, nine shutouts, and two saves. She recorded 165 strikeouts while opponents hit .226.

Sanborn, Doyle, and Meyer were key cogs in Bethany setting a program record 33 wins this season with back-to-back UMAC championships and NCAA appearances.
