SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Bethany cross country kicked off its 2026 season Friday night at the Augustana Twilight. 

Campbell Amundson led the Viking women with a time of 20:11.4 in the 5000 meter race, finishing in 138th place out of 349 competitors. Kendal Pillar ran 23:27.2, Paige Bell finished in 23:52.7, Taryn Zellmann crossed the line in 25:15.8, and Kara Monsebroten completed in 25:16.4.

Carver Day paced the men with a time of 18:01.7 for 367th place out of 479 runners. James Younge crossed in 18:29.4, August Weinstein in 18:54.4, Ben Matzke in 19:23.8, and Jorge Magan Munoz in 23:17.5.
