The 2025-26 season will mark Dabu's second season as the head coach of the Viking softball program.
Dabu took over in 2024-25 after two years as an assistant for the Vikings in which they went 59-28 overall and 35-3 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) en route to two regular season conference championships.
During the 2025 season, the Vikings went 30-15, claiming the UMAC regular season and tournament championship and advancing to the NCAA Tournament. At the NCAA's, the Vikings suffered a first round loss to Illinois Wesleyan before winning two straight games for their first two wins in Tournament history. In the Regional Championship, the Vikings once again fell to the Titans of IWU. Emily Meyer and Emily Doyle earned All-Region for Bethany with Meyer also earning UMAC Pitcher of the Year honors on the season.Â

A 2022 graduate of Bethel University (St. Paul, Minnesota) and a four-year player in the Royals program, Dabu was an everyday starter for a team that posted one of the best finishes in program history. The Royals went 37-7 in her senior season, winning four games in the NCAA Division Tournament before falling in the Super Regional to Berry College. Â

Dabu earned a bachelor's degree in social work from Bethel before going on to obtain a master of social work degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2024. Besides being involved in the Vikings' program the last two seasons, Dabu has been a social worker in the Apple Valley (Minnesota) School District while also coaching club softball during the summer months.
