Josh Jensen

Josh Jensen begins his third season on the Vikings coaching staff this fall. A four-year starter and two-time captain at Bethany, Josh finished his career with nine goals, 11 assists and 29 points. In 2008, he led the team in scoring with five goals, five assists, and 15 points. In his senior season, he helped captain the men’s team to their best record in ten years and played a major role in the team's second place UMAC finish.

As a high school athlete, Jensen was a standout forward at St. Peter High School. Jensen set numerous school and state records; ending his career as the Minnesota State High School League record holder in goals in a season with 35 (currently tied for 1st all time) and for goals in a game with seven (currently tied for first all-time). His 65 career goals stand as the 13th best career in Minnesota high school history.

Aside from coaching, Josh currently works at the Saint Peter regional Treatment Center. Coach Jensen will work primarily with the team’s forwards, recruiting efforts and game day management.

Coach Lyngholm’s comments: “For the past six years, I’ve had the chance to know Josh as a soccer player at BLC, a coach for the St. Peter Soccer Program and as a student in my Communication classes. He is personable, passionate and lives and breathes soccer. I couldn’t be happier that he’ll be working with us this fall.”
