Box Score
Mankato, Minn. - The Bethany men's soccer team had an exciting overtime win against arch rival Martin Luther on Tuesday night. The boys out-played MLC the majority of the game and outshot them 28-13.
Joe Nuah (St. Paul, Minn./Arlington) led the Vikings with six shots. Martin Luther’s keeper was forced to make nine saves, as opposed to Bethany Lutheran’s Cam Koopman's (Phelps, Wis./Phelps) two saves. However, the boys couldn't put it in the back of the net, and the game was still tied at zero at the end of the 90 minutes.
Just one and a half minutes into the sudden death overtime, sophomore CK Pock (Faribault, Minn./Faribault) scored the winning goal for the Vikings, assisted by Evans Tackie-Yarboi (West Jordan, Utah/Cooper Hills). This marks Pock’s fifth goal of the season.
The men's soccer team will take on Crown this Friday at 1:30 p.m. at home.
