Mankato, Minn. - The Bethany men's soccer team swept the weekend with an exciting 2-1 victory over Northwestern on Saturday. Last time the boys played Northwestern they fell 2-0 in St. Paul.

The beautiful fall weather attracted a good crowd for the game, and the Vikings came out ready to play. A strong and driven shot by lead-scorer CK Pock (Faribault, Minn./Faribault) put the Vikings ahead 1-0 in the first half. In the second half Evans Tackie-Yarboi (West Jordan, Minn./Copper Hills) put one in for Bethany, but it was soon answered by a goal by Northwestern. Josh Jensen (St. Peter, Minn./St. Peter) assisted both of Bethany Lutheran's goals. The Vikings were able to hold the Eagles until the end of the game for the win.
