Mankato, Minn. - The men's soccer team really rocked the field against Northland last night, beating the Lumberjacks 3-0. It may have been cold outside but the Vikings were on fire, and so were their fans.

In the first half, goals were scored by senior Jack Steffl (Mankato, Minn./Loyola) in the fifth minute of the game, and sophomore CK Pock (Faribault, Minn./Faribault), both assisted by Evans Tackie-Yarboi (West Jordan, Utah/Cooper Hills). Tackie-Yarboi himself had seven shots throughout the game but couldn't find the back of the net.

In the second half junior Henry Ndikum (Cameroon/West Lutheran) got another goal for the Vikings. Bethany Lutheran outshot the Lumberjacks 24-5. Senior goalie Cameron Koopman (Phelps, Wis./Phelps) only had to make 2 saves.

The next game for the Vikings will be a match tomorrow againt preseason favorite, St. Scholastica, at 2 p.m.
