The Vikings Volleyball team played at home against Crown this Friday night and was once again able to beat the Storm.

This time around, the Vikings were able to beat Crown in four games of 20-25, 25-20, 25-23, and 25-22, better than last time when Bethany took Crown to five games.

The Vikings had a great offensive game at the net. Alyssa Fredrickson (Sanborn, Minn./Red Rock Central) led with her all time match total of 15 kills, and Caitlin Decker (Ramsey, Minn./Anoka) followed with 13, and Shelby Wiederhoeft (Truman, Minn./Truman) added 12 with a .450 kill percentage.

"We had some small errors that could have been eliminated," commented Emilie James (Aurora, Minn./Rock Mountain). The Vikings had 12 serving errors alone, and 26 kill errors.

Krissy Schemmel (Mankato, Minn./Riverland CC) stepped up her game, and had 31 set assists for the Vikings and also a kill.

"After seeing Crown play already, we knew better where their weak spots were, and where we should place the ball," said assistant Rachelle Rude.

The Vikings will once again be playing at home tomorrow afternoon against Northwestern.
