Mankato, Minn. - The Bethany Lutheran men lost the game on the field despite a 1-1 tie to Northland on Saturday.
Ryan Bolte (Colorado Springs, Colo. / Fountain Fort Carson) was goalkeeper for Bethany recording six saves on 13 shots by the LumberJacks.
The Vikings were unable to connect passes early on, but had some great chances to end the game in overtime. Two of Bethany Lutheran's shots hit the post in the second overtime.
Julio Garcia (Arlington, Minn./ Sibley) scored the lone goal for BLC in the 41
st minute to tie the game. The unassisted goal came when Garcia got his own rebound after the initial save by the Nothland keeper.
Bethany plays UW-Superior on Tuesday in Mankato for a non-confernece match in the last home game of the season.
The men are now 5-10-1 overall and 3-7-1 in the UMAC.
