Mankato, Minn.—The Bethany men’s team played well in a 2-1 overtime game against the Saints Friday night.
Noah Heidorn (Fergus Falls, Minn./ Fergus Falls) played keeper for the Vikings. He played a great game recording eight saves on 30 shots.
The Saints scored right away in the 7
th minute, but would be held scoreless the rest of regulation.
Juan Garcia (Arlington, Minn./ Sibley) scored a beautiful goal that was deflected off of a shot taken by Joe Nuah (St. Paul, Minn./Arlington) who was credited with an assist.
The game went to overtime in which the Saints scored off of a free kick and a header into the back of the net.
The Vikings play Northland Saturday afternoon for their final home conferene game.
They are now 5-10 overall and 3-7 in the UMAC.
