Mankato, Minn. – The men’s soccer team defeated Northland 2-0 at home to complete the season sweet of the LumberJacks.
 
In an aggressive game the Bethany squad scored both of their goals with five minutes left to play in the first half. Michael Loguercio (Tavernier, Fla. / Coral Shores) scored his fourth goal of the year at the 43:47 mark. He beat the defenders thanks to a long ball from Hayden Hough (Colorado Springs, Colo. / Fountain Ft. Carson) who was credited with the assist. With just five seconds remaining in the first half Joseph Perez (Colorado Springs, Colo. / Fountain Ft. Carson) took a shot far out of the normal strike zone. His placement was prefect to give him his ninth goal of the season. Perez’s goal was unassisted.
 
Noah Heidorn (Fergus Falls, Minn. / Fergus Falls) was in goal for the majority of the game. In his 86 minutes Heidorn recorded four important saves. Nicholas Bera (Albert Lea, Minn. / Albert Lea) came in for the remainder of the game and had one save.
 
Bethany improved to 9-9-1 overall and 8-4-1 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference. Bethany will host St. Scholastica for the final regular season game of the year on October 27th at Noon.
