Box Score

Mankato, Minn. – The Vikings lost a close match against the visiting Northland LumberJills. Northland took Bethany into five sets, the Vikings won the first two but fell in the following three to give the game to the LumberJills.

The Vikings had a team total of 47 kills and 33 errors. Northland had 53 kills and 32 errors. The Bethany defense had a hard time digging up the ball in the last three games while the offense had more errors than kills in the last set.

Leading the Vikings offensively was Shelby Wiederhoeft (Truman, Minn. / Truman) who had 14 kills with six attack errors. Amanna Berthusen (Marshalltown, Iowa / Marshalltown) laid down the next most kills with ten, she had ten attack errors.

Defensively Jessi Jurries (Trimont, Minn. / Martin County West) had a great night digging up 29 balls. The Northland offense would do its best to serve away from Jurries during the match.
