Softball drops two at St. Scholastica

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Duluth, Minn. – St. Scholastica swept The Vikings on the road. Bethany fell in the first game 0-8 and in the second game 2-3.
 
Game 1 (L 0-8)
 
Emily Rauchman (Mankato, Minn./Mankato West) pitched two and a third innings giving up six runs on one hit. Rauchman recoded two strikeouts and walked six batters. Amanda Edmison (Mayer, Minn./Watertown-Mayer) came in for an inning and two thirds. She allowed two runs off of four hits. She struck out one batter and walked another. The game ended after five innings due to the eight run rule.
 
Ashley Jensen (Delano, Minn./West Lutheran), Cortney Hallahan (Hutchinson, Minn./Holy Family Catholic) and Rauchman each recorded a hit.
 
The Vikings had three hits, left three on base and recorded two errors in the field. St. Scholastica had a total of five hits and left four on base. The Saints did not commit any errors.
 
Game 2 (L 2-3)
Edmison pitched all six innings for the Vikings in game two. She allowed three runs off of five hits. She logged seven strikeouts and walked two batters.
 
Jensen and Rebecca Ludewig (Mankato, Minn./Mankato West) each had a double. Hallahan and Jessie Jurries (Trimont, Minn./Martin County West) each had an RBI.
 
Bethany had a total of five hits as did St. Scholastica. The Vikings left five on base and didn’t have any errors in the field. The Saints left two on base and recorded two errors in the field.
 
Next, Bethany will host Martin Luther on April 18th for a doubleheader starting at 3 p.m.
