Men bounce Knights to continue win streak

Box Score NEW ULM, Minn. - Going into Thursday's game with Martin Luther, the Bethany men's soccer team had defeated the Knights eight straight times. After Saturday, that streak is now at ten. Michael Loguercio's game-winning goal in the 81st minute propelled the Vikings to a 2-1 victory.

One goal was scored in the first half and that was off the foot of Laye Kaba who connected for his third tally of the season in the game's 40th minute.

After the Knights tied it in the 56th minute, Loguercio put BLC up for good with his fourth goal of the year.

The Vikings outshot the Knights 21-17 with 12 shots on goal compared to seven for MLC. Noah Heidorn stopped six shots to pick up the win.

Bethany (8-4, 6-2 in UMAC) next plays UW-Superior in a non-conference match Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the BLC Soccer Field.
