Box Score MANKATO, Minn. - The Bethany men's soccer team's longest win streak in four years came to an end Tuesday night. Wis.-Superior halted the Vikings streak with a 5-0 shutout in a non-conference matchup at the BLC Soccer Field.
In a matchup of two teams with winning records, the Yellowjackets got on top early. UWS' Ben Kasper scored in the eighth minute on a left footer cross shot. Just over a minute later, Brian Grand scored the first of his two straight goals off a corner kick from John Levenick. After Grand connected again in the 22nd minute, Trevor LaRoche-Theune scored on a right footer in close in the 41st minute to make the halftime score 4-0.
Bethany was outshot 31-6 in the contest.
The Vikings (8-5) return to UMAC play on Friday when they travel to Minn.-Morris for a 3:15 p.m. start.
