Box Score MANKATO, Minn. - The Bethany Lutheran Vikings men's soccer team suffered a crushing overtime loss in their previous matchup the day before and they looked to rebound against the North Central Rams on Saturday. They did just that earning a 2-0 home shutout win in the home finale.
North Central looked to be the one threatening early, however, as Nick Wiese was given a penalty kick in the 24th minute that was sure to score before Bethany goalkeeper
Noah Heidorn was able to record the save. Soon thereafter, in the 30th minute, BLC's

Juan Garcia's pass and was able to send it into the back of the net for the 1-0 lead.
Sophomore forward
Benjamin Moldstad almost recorded Bethany's second goal in the 62nd minute when his header bounced off the post and out. Finally, in the 74th minute

Jorge Perez was able to knock in his third goal of the season to set up the Vikings for the 2-0 win.
Bethany outshot North Central 18-9 in the game and had 7 shots on goal.
The Vikings next game will be on the road against Northland College at 3:15 pm on Friday in Ashland, Wis.
