Volleyballers top Lumberjills

Box Score ASHLAND, Wis. - After losing the night before in Duluth, the Bethany volleyball team was able to bounce back in a big way by beating Northland in straight sets (25-15, 25-11, 25-21) to get back to .500 in UMAC play.

Emily Franzen had a superb performance for the Vikings leading the team in both assists and digs with 16 and 12 respectively. She also added a pair of service aces.

Miranda Krenske led a well-balanced attack on the offensive end with nine kills. Five of her teammates had at least four kills. Krenske was also in double figures with 13 assists.

Bethany stays in south central Minnesota for their next match, a road trip to New Ulm to face Martin Luther Wednesday at 7 p.m.
