Box Score ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. - The long stretch on the road to start the season is finally over. Bethany's first 15 matches of the 2013 season were all away from Bethany and they should how anxious they were to get back home by making quick work of Crown Saturday, dispatching the Storm in straight sets (25-10, 25-20, 25-17).

The Vikings began their onslaught early and often taking the first set 25-10. Three of
Emily Franzen's four service aces came back-to-back-to-back to put Bethany up 12-5 and they continued to roll the rest of the set.

Crown wouldn't back down though and took an 18-11 lead in the second set. The Vikings scored the next 12 points to take a 23-18 advantage.
Kristen Mielke had two service aces and
Kasslin Swenson contributed with five kills in the stretch.

Bethany fell behind again in the third set 12-8, but outscored Crown 17-5 the rest of the way to close out the match.

Swenson led two players in double figures in kills with 13. Franzen helped with 18 assists and
Jessi Jurries had 13 digs to lead four Vikings in double figures in that category.

Bethany (2-13, 1-1 in UMAC) will finally get to play in front of their home fans Friday when they host Northwestern at 7 p.m.
