Box Score MANKATO, Minn. - In a tightly contested, physical matchup, the Bethany men's soccer team made it two wins in a row with a shutout win over North Central 2-0.
Bethany got the only goal they would need in the 25th minute as
Mike Loguercio drove home a loose ball in front of the net to the lower right corner for a 1-0 BLC lead.
The Vikings outshot the Rams 19-5 with an 11-2 edge in shots on goal.
The score remained 1-0 until the 87th minute. Loguercio led
Dave Roemhildt nicely with a great pass that Roemhildt drilled into the back of the net for the insurance goal.
Matt Bitter made both saves on both shots he faced to get the win.
Bethany (2-7-1, 2-2-1 in UMAC) hosts Northwestern Saturday at 5 p.m.
