Box Score MANKATO, Minn. - A night after an impressive win over Northland, the Bethany volleyball team tried to make it a weekend sweep against St. Scholastica. The Saints, though, had other plans and dealt the Vikings its first home defeat of the season.

Bethany played St. Scholastica tough but dropped the match in straight sets 25-19, 25-21, 25-15.

Jessi Jurries led the club with 20 digs. Amanna Berthusen added ten kills while Emily Franzen collected 30 assists.

The Vikings (2-8, 1-1 UMAC) are on the road for their next five matchups beginning Friday with a tilt at Crown.
